Why do cars go faster on  BluTrack than other track systems?

3 reasons:

  1. One continuous coil, No joints, so no interference to slow down cars!!!
  2. Wider lanes allow for less interference with the rails.
  3. Because items fall faster in a nonlinear plane… see videos

Why so few instructions?

BluTrack is an open ended toy, it was designed so the user can explore his/her own design ideas.  We find too much detail reduces the user's creativity.  Frankly, we believe that there is more value (fun) in a “user-defined” design that doesn’t work and fixing it, than there is a design that works everytime.  Making your own design work is not only fun, but rewarding when you achieve success.

Why no ramps to start with?

Structure is everywhere. We want the users to explore using household items first.  If we give the users the ramps too early it reduces their creativity.  By letting them use household items (books, shoes, water bottles….) first, they will understand that they can use those items in THEIR designs.  If we can get them to understand that structure is everywhere first, adding the ramps will increase the possibilities.

Do I need to use the “performance inserts” to use the Performance Series BluTrack?

No.  PS (Performance Series) is actually equal or better than our BluTrack “Classic” in every category we have tested.  The only exception is the width of the lanes, Classic BluTrack lanes are wider and can accept :Disney Cars.  DS can not.  See photo:

Why does my design work in one lane and not the other?

Physics.  One lane maybe too tight or too high… car maybe going too fast or too slow…..BluTrack is really about trial and error.

Any suggestions on improve stunt designs?

One simple rule, if you see the track move, your design is losing energy at that point.  Adding support will improve your results.  For other ideas, see video

Can I expand my BluTrack system?

Yes but only like system to like system.  Classic to Classic, Performance to Performance and Pro to Pro.

Unlike traditional systems that use a peg to hold track sections together, BluTrack uses an adhesive system to connect lengths of track together.  Simply peel, stick and rub. Once lengths are assembled, simply coil up BluTrack to store.

If my room is only 12 feet long, why do I need 15 feet, or longer of BluTrack?

Unlike most systems that are rigid in design, BluTrack was designed to use the horizontal and vertical space within a room so the child can design track layouts that go left, right, up, down, loops, twists, ….We’ve set up 24 feet of track in as little as a 4 ft. x 4 ft area.

Is it true the BluTrack is manufactured in the USA?

Yes, every component is purchased, manufactured, assembled and packaged in the United States except for some ramp styles and BluTrack Racers.

What if my BluTrack will not lay flat or is very stiff?

For best results, BluTrack is designed to operate at 70 degrees.  If track has been in the cold for a long time it can take several days for it to warm to the 70 degree temp.  To speed process, coil up track and soak entire track EXCEPT hanger pad in hot water for 2 minutes.  This will quickly soften the track.
