Why BluTrack?

Recommendation:

We highly recommend that you allow the children to play with the track for a while before introducing either the ramps or adults into the situation.  Children typically will experiment more freely when given the time to move the track and race the cars on their own.  Encouraging the children to incorporate common household items such as books, chairs, tables into the track layout is also recommended.

Don't worry, it is common for children to experiment with designs for several weeks before they start using the ramps system.  During this time, they are developing the ability to think in a three-dimensional form.

Quick setup and storage: Out of the box to playing in less than two minutes.

BluTrack is designed to have as few parts as possible and for its ability to coil.  The customer friendly packaging allows for very quick pickup and storage.

BluTrack’s hanger system allows for multiple set up options:

Stick and Go

Use suction cup provided and attach to window, glass door or any other smooth surface.

Hook and Go

Hang from nail, screw, hook, picture hanger...

Hanger bar has two main functions:

To hold or stabilize the track from moving when the cars pass by. The bar comes with both Velcro® tape (carpet surfaces) and rubber pads (hard surface flooring) so the users can customize to there own needs.

To hold or stabilize the top of a loop.

Racing Indoors or Outdoors:

Just hook it up, roll it out and let them go...

Encourage kids to race different objects, cars, and marbles, add water to race toothpicks or bottle tops....

Use hanger bars to stabilize the track or use common household objects to support the loops.

Advanced Stunt Setups see details below: CLICK TO SEE VIDEOS

Ramps are not needed to perform advanced stunts but they do make the set up much quicker.  The ramps can be used separately or connected together for larger loops.  BluTrack simply clips into the ramps.

Extending BluTrack:

To extend your BluTrack, simply remove paper from connector pad, alien rails and stick BluTrack sections together.  Firmly press pad to track by rubbing pad with fingers.  Rub fingers over the track surface at the seam to ensure a smooth transition.  Once this is assembled, just coil up to store.

BluTrack Stunt Hints:

Important:

For best results, BluTrack’s temperature should be around 70 degrees.  If the track is too stiff and does not want to lay flat, coil up the track and submerge entire track expect hanger pad in hot water for 2 minutes.  This will soften the track.

Key concept:

The key to performing stunts is to maximize the forward energy of the cars.  This is done by supporting the track with ramps, books, stiffener bars…..  When the car goes through your stunt design, anytime you see the track move or flex, at that point in your design the car is losing it s forward energy and an opportunity to improve your design.

Stunt Set ups:

1)       Hook BluTrack up to wall or window and roll BluTrack out flat on the floor.

2)      Where the track touches the ground, secure stiffener bar to the floor.  Use Velcro for carpet and rubber pads for hard floors.   If needed, add weight to the bars to help hold in place, books work well. Once the track is inside the bars, push down on the tabs for a more secure bite. This will stiffen the track from wall to the ground and ensure that the car is carrying it energy to your first loop or jump or twist or….  the rest of the design is up to your imagaination.

  • OTHER HINTS

  • For multi-loop set ups, it is best to go from large loops to small loops.  This allows the cars to use energy from the previous loops to transfer to the smaller loops.

  • Try different cars as some are best suited for racing, some are best for jumping and some are better at stunts.

  • For advanced stunts, try running the cars backwards.

  • Try one car at a time.

  • Try different lanes.
