BluTrack FAQ can be viewed on Youtube.com at the following link: http://www.youtube.com/generalzoom

BluTrack is a two-lane racetrack system with optional ramps to create more loops and curls.  By design no small parts or interlocking connectors are needed to go from a straight race to one with loops or curves in it.  The best hanging option is a window suction cup.

My BluTrack will not lay flat or is very stiff?

For best results, BluTrack is designed to operate at 70 degrees.  If track has been in the cold for a long time it can take several days for it to warm to the 70 degree temp.  To speed process, coil up track and soak entire track EXCEPT hanger pad in hot water for 2 minutes.  This will quickly soften the track.

What makes BluTrack different from other racetracks?

  1. It's a double track, not a single track, so players can race each other at the same time.
  2. It uses any model of car, although the standard 1/64th scale works the best.
  3. The shortest BluTrack starter kit is twice as long as the typical kits found in discount retailers.
  4. Optional extension lengths simply require a one-time connection using an adhesive pad.  Once connected it stays connected.
  5. Durability is guaranteed with BluTrack as it is 25 percent thicker than other tracks. During testing, the track was coiled and uncoiled 2,000 times without failure. BluTrack was designed to last for years, not hours.

Did a dad really invent BluTrack?

Yes, Randy Belding designed the track, based on what he and his children wanted to do. The children were three and five at the time and the objective was to create something safe for young children to play with yet still really fun for all ages. We like to think that our research and development team is small but mighty.

Randy spent three years developing BluTrack, and is now in the process of manufacturing a starting gate, a finish line, and a lane changer to expand play options.

We'd like some ideas on how to use BluTrack.

So would we! People of all ages use BluTrack in different ways - there's no right or wrong way. We encourage everyone to send us pictures of their BluTrack configurations, toys used, and places where they play with the track.

Already we've seen a lot of fun stuff! BluTrack fans set it up in the living room, loop it over the monkey bars in the park - why, we've even seen a BluTrack sand castle on the beach!

Check the website frequently to see how others play with BluTrack and please send us your pictures, too! Make sure we can see the smiling faces of those playing and give us your names and ages.

What kind of cars should I use on BluTrack®?

You can use any 1/64th scale car but we found that Darda and Hot wheels® work the best.

Will the cars from the movie "Cars" work on BluTrack?

Yes.

What is the width of the lanes?

Overall width of the track is 3.85", with each lane being 1.65" wide

Can I expand my BluTrack system?

Yes, we sell 6 foot extensions.   Unlike traditional systems that use a peg to hold track sections together, BluTrack uses an adhesive system to connect lengths of track together.  Simply peel, stick and rub. Once lengths are assembled, simply coil up BluTrack to store.

How does BluTrack compare in price to other more traditional systems?

Comparing the track surface of a two lane BluTrack to some other systems sold at a discount chains, BluTrack is usually less expensive.  For example, one system purchased at Wal-Mart costs $1.66/foot of track.  An 18-foot Starter kit selling at $40.00 calculates out to $2.20/foot for two lanes but only $1.10/track lane foot.  With the 24ft stunt pack, after backing out the 8 ramps, the price per lane foot is less than $1.00.

What is the age range of BluTrack?

3 year and above.

Our BluTrack was left out and will not lay flat, can it be fixed?

Yes.  You have two options.

    1)  Simply coil your BluTrack up (with the rails facing out) and place it back in the box.  In most cases the track will return back to its original shape.

    2)  Warming the track up will cause BluTrack to return to its orginal shape.  If the outdoor temp is above 65 degrees, simply roll out and let the sun warm the track.  If colder, try giving the track a hot bath.  Once BluTrack has softened, simply coil up and store.

If my room is only 12 feet long, why do I need 18 or 24 feet of track?

Unlike most systems that are rigid in design, BluTrack was designed to use the horizontal and vertical space within a room so the kid can design track layouts that go left, right, up, down, loops, twists, ….

Is it true the BluTrack is manufactured in the USA?

Yes, every component is purchased, manufactured, assembled and packaged in the United States except for some ramp styles.  Even thoses ramps are sourced from a United States company that may choose to manufacture overseas.
